Last week I went to a show of new Japanese painting at Secret Project Robot. My friends played music and I saw some good stuff.
I didn't know, until just now, that the show was part of a larger festival of emerging Japanese artists. Japanese comics and art books are on display at New York Kinokuniya Book Store, Printed Matter, Spoonbill & Sugartown, and St. Marks Books. Through Sunday March 30.
